Life in the world of today is full of hassle. It is crowded with expectations. It is brimming with desires. We often grow up aspiring to the lives of successful people around us. We doctor ourselves to lead the same life as our role models. There is a constant race of getting to the finish line first across which lies- the glamourous lives of the accomplished people. Nonetheless, in all the struggle to win the race, we often disregard the path that paves our way to lead a balanced life. In this contesting world, the perfect recipe and the accurate formula to lead a well-balanced life comprises only 3F’s.
Family. Family is about bonds. It is about attachments. It is all about infinite support, unexpressed care, unconditional love, boundless value, and, more importantly, utmost respect. Family is the first F one should care about. The shadow of guidance and the wholehearted emotions that a father provides are invaluable. The love of a mother can’t be narrated in words. The mischievous fights unveiled by consistent reinforcement are what a brother provides to a family. Sister’s annoying behavior and hidden protection for the family are irreplaceable. You can be absolutely yourself when you are amongst your closed ones without even having an inch of fear of being judged. No one understands you better than your family. They are someone with whom you can share your smallest triumphs and biggest sorrows. You can be absolutely cherishing and shattered at the same time in front of your family. The only people you can expect to be absolutely transparent and thoughtful of you is your family. People whom you can seek guidance and draw inspiration from are your family members only. Your family is the soul of your body. And, if your soul is in unrest, you can’t live a satisfying life. So, crave for it!
Your body is the home to your soul. Just as how a soul of a person is the most significant thing to look after, your body is equally important. Both the soul and body go hand in hand. You can’t lead a life of dreams with your body being unfit and in bad shape. So, here comes the other F, which is Fitness. Stamina to run a few miles, energy to lift some household stuff, and the capacity to climb some stairs without feeling lethargic is what Fitness is all about. Being mindful of what you consume in your daily routine and having the courage to say NO to unhealthy food plays a significant role in one’s Fitness. Being fit doesn’t mean following a map to be Usain Bolt in the Olympics or a heavy weight lifter, but it implies being in perfect shape and remain healthy. It means to keep your body oiled for any strenuous exercise. It means to stay away from diseases that can potentially be cured by Fitness. It means to lead a healthy and happier lifestyle. Work on your body, and maintain perfect F!
The third F covers a broad horizon of aspects- it’s the Freedom. The definition of freedom changes with one’s perception throughout life. Freedom, in a comprehensive way, possibly means to break the limits if and when needed without having a second thought. While you are in your school days, your Freedom revolves around playing all day or spending time doing something that you love from all your heart without being interrupted. As you survive through high school, you want all the liberty in choosing your career path. Thriving further, you want the privilege to make new friends, travel the world, and explore every corner. You want Freedom in pursuing all your endeavors without explaining it to someone. You want the autonomy to make all the important decisions of your lives- be it choosing a life partner or a dream job. You want your own say in your working hours without being persistently reminded about the deadlines. In your later years, you want Freedom in managing your finances. One grows up aspiring for Freedom in mapping the whole timeline of his life till the last breath.
Having a perfectly fit body is of no advantage if you have unhealthy relationships with your family members. If you have strong bonds with your parents and siblings but you lack Freedom in choosing your working hours, and so you can’t spend quality time with your family is not what you worked for. You may have the fortune of not worrying about your finances, but if you don’t have someone to spend money with is the darker side to your life. The three F’s must be cohered and integrated well enough to adore every second of your well-balanced life. Because, in the end, every one of us survives, but not everyone lives!
